This is Zeta from Granblue Fantasy based on her uncap art ( https://gbf.wiki/images/5/51/Npc_zoom_3040028000_02.png ).
Really like her character so i decided to make a figurine of her after i saw the offical figurine, which i dislike.
Got to say, when you work on a figurine on pc you usually dont notice the size you create. Turns out i overdid it a bit. The figurine is 28 cm in height (from spear tip) and about 30 cm in length. Thats by far the biggest figurine i ever made and the next will definitly be smaller, since this one does not fit into any of my existing displays.
As for the figurine:
The 3D model of the character was exported (with functioning rig) from the game Grandblue Fantasy versus. The spear and the "special" effect were made by myself from scratch (based on teh art work). To polish the character model it took me about 80 hours in blender. As usual for games, most details are texturebased. they needed to be modeled in 3D so that i can print them. Some parts were just planes and disconected pieces. I also had to increase the density of the mesh in order to get smooth surfaces. The final model has 5.2 million verts.
All 36 parts were printed with my 3D printer (anycubic photon S). most of them with standard grey resin, the special effect parts in clear resin (which turns yellowish on the finish). I also had to implement a metalpiece for a stable footer.
All in all this figurine turned out way better than i ever could have hoped for. Hope you like it as much as i do.
the whole making process (modeling, preparing for printing, printing, painting, assembling) took me about 200h (probably even more) over the last 4 month.
This model is not directly for sale anywhere. So if you are interested in the 3D files to print it yourself, contact me and we figure something out.
